not the best way to spend my half year bday but i actually made it thru like a champ.
in fact, mom & dad took me on my first trip to missoula the same day. good chance for me to check out the ‘big city’ in these parts.
even watched my first chinese meal – can’t quite take part yet.
soon though, i’m up to breakfast, lunch & dinner these days.
they caught a pinback show and i got to see town and hang out with my good friend karen.
thanx karen, had a blast.
so i’ve been a busy camper lately. apparently it’s a busy summer as dad’s been gone a bit and that was a first. and finally got back east to meet family there. great cousins and a cool spin around block island and ct in general. have a slew of material starring, who else, me… but i haven’t put it all together yet.
in the meantime, thought you’d at least like to see the 3 cousins and one shot of the family. if it weren’t for my new johnny-jump-up i’d probably be writing a lot more but i really can’t get enough of that thing.
oh, and by the way, my four month check up was all good. 86 percentile in length so they’re saying i’ll be tall and lanky and have trouble keeping on the weight. either way, the four shots i got at the visit were not cool.
one of my favorite parts of this coast trip was this walking thing. aside from sleeping and eating it’s the greatest. i love this chariot thing that my parents pimped for me. here it is in action.
what a cool place. wet, stormy but green and beautiful. unfortunately I slept most of the time but i managed to get a walk on the beach in and vaguely comprehend the scale of the pacific. was a great, quiet time to hang with my parents as they had no internet, radio or tv for the entire week. even lost phones for awhile. we spent a lot of time walking, talking, napping and feeding me.
and i’m back. finally pulled off my first road trip. apparently my folks used to do this all the time but this was my first. made it out to portland and the oregon coast. first stop – grandma & grandpa k and then onto meet my aunt molly and cousins for the first time. here’s me keeping the boys in line.
and a spot of video of all the fun… the star being the above three and half old luke…
next, checked out my dad’s old stomping grounds in metropolitan pdx – powell’s city of books, saturday market, old town. i’m still waiting for the visit to voodoo donuts though – and just in time for their new location. here’s me and mom taking it all in in the pearl district.
up soon… adventures on the coast.
